Holger Prang, Moamen Soudani

In this project two universities from Egypt, Mansoura, and two universities from Europe, London and Hamburg, will establish a think tank around the emerging theme of machine intelligence and its implications towards city development and city planning. Within the current rapid urbanization, higher accessibility, and job opportunities within cities, people would either be born in cities or be inclined to move to cities. Despite the dynamics of population migration, and quality of life, cities witness higher demand for housing and services to cope with the rapid changes. The exchange focuses on digital participatory tools to support the vast transformations of (metropolitan) urban environments through workshops and expert-based feedback with advanced IT modeling and simulation tools.
